What's Going On?



  • Until recently he was the Chairman of the Trustees of The Rock Bus Project (www.therockbus.org.uk), a charity that operates a double-decker bus, fitted out with computers and music equipment and works with young people in the Wigan Borough.

  • Terry is also speaking at schools, colleges and a variety of organisations on European and Energy issues.

  • Is on the board of Trustees For Methodist Church Purposes (TMCP), a charitable body which acts as custodian trustee for Methodist property, including investments holdings in some 10,000 separate trusts, 6,000 churches and 2,000 manses - www.methodist.org.uk

  • Appointed to the Board of Trustees for Action for Children - www.actionforchildren.org.uk

  • He is on the Executive of the Christian Socialist Movement - www.thecsm.org.uk

  • He is on the Council of the Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church (www.cfbmethodistchurch.org.uk)



  • Belgium - In June and July 2008, Lecturing and Mentoring at a European Students Forum, as part of the EU Youth in Action Programme. He will be doing the same activities in September 2011.

  • Belgium - He recently lectured in Political & Public Policy at the United Business Institute for Post Graduates studying their MBAs.

  • Belgium - He also sits as a member of the Board of the European Parliament Voluntary Pension Scheme

  • Norway - In April 2007 he was a keynote speaker at the City Hall, Bergen at the Forum For Faith and Values.

  • Belgium - 2010 - With the appointment of the new Commissioners of the European Union in 2010 he was asked to served as one of the three man Ethics Committee


New Zealand

  • He was European in Residence for the EU Centres Network of New Zealand in March/April 2007, based at the University of Auckland. During this time he visited and spoke at the universities of Auckland, Waikato, Victoria University Wellington, Canterbury and Otago.

  • In October/November 2009 returned for speaking engagements at the universities of Auckland and Otago and revisited the National Centre For Research on Europe in Christchurch.

  • He was also a keynote speaker in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch at events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome.

  • He is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the National Centre For Research on Europe at the University of Canterbury.



  • In November 2006 he delivered a Public Seminar at the Australian National University in Canberra and will be doing further work with them in 2007 as a visiting Fellow.
