Nuclear

Terry has detailed knowledge of power generation through his qualification as a Marine Chief Engineer. He is a strong believer in protecting the environment for future generations, especially from the effects of CO2. 

He has spoken on this subject at various European gatherings, has visited nuclear installations in the Czech Republic,   Lithuania, Sweden, has been a keynote speaker at a Conference in Tokyo and given Public Lectures in Auckland and Dunedin on "Nuclear Energy For a Green Future - click here to read the speech.

He was the Founder and Chair of the Forum for the Future of Nuclear Energy within the European Parliament, discussing topics such as;

  • Public acceptance of Nuclear Power

November 2004

January 2005    

  • Led a delegation to Bulgaria and was instrumental in raising the issue of the Kozloduy nuclear power plant in the EU.
